Were absolutely delighted to announce that Connexis has been shortlisted for the Apprentice Employer of the Year category at the Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin Apprenticeship Awards! This is a huge honour for our company, as it recognises our commitment to nurturing young talent and providing them with the  skills and opportunities they need to succeed.

Why we’re shortlisted

Our dedication to apprenticeships has been a cornerstone of our business strategy for many years. Since 2009, we've consistently prioritised hiring apprentices and have seen tremendous success in developing their skills and careers. In fact, four out of five of our engineers joined us as apprentices.

We believe that apprenticeships offer a unique opportunity to identify and nurture talent that aligns perfectly with our company culture. Our commitment to providing a supportive and nurturing environment has enabled our apprentices to thrive and make significant contributions to our business.

Our approach to apprenticeships

• Real-world experience: We offer apprentices real job responsibilities from day one, providing them with valuable hands-on experience and opportunities to learn on the job.
• Mentorship and support: Our experienced team members provide ongoing mentorship and support to our apprentices, guiding them through their learning journey and helping them develop their skills.
• Progression opportunities: We're committed to providing our apprentices with clear career paths and opportunities for advancement within our company.
• Continuous improvement: We continually evaluate and refine our apprenticeship programs to ensure they meet the evolving needs of our business and our apprentices.

Learning and Development

We encourage our apprentices to take advantage of the training and development opportunities we offer, and we're proud to have partnered with reputable training providers like Telford College to deliver high-quality apprenticeships.
